Raising Awareness for Skin Cancer with Spot the Dot

Since 2018, I have been supporting the non-profit Spot the Dot and serving as an active member of its advisory board. This commitment is very close to my heart, both as a dermatologist and as someone who strongly believes in the power of education and prevention.

Spot the Dot is a non-profit organization founded in 2015 by the Dutch melanoma patient Marije Kruis. The organization works with a global network of people from art and sports, as well as skin cancer patients and dermatologists, to raise awareness about melanoma and other types of skin cancer.

Our shared goal is to inspire people to speak openly with their families and healthcare professionals about the importance of proactive measures for preventing skin cancer and detecting it early. Together, we work to empower individuals with knowledge and encourage regular skin checks.

Together we raise awareness of skin cancer.
